Dear Hackberry Creek Church,
We have a wonderful opportunity to share the love of Christ in a very tangible way! Hands & Feet is spearheading "Caring Together" during the months of May and June.
We've chosen those on the frontline fighting for the sick and wounded due to Covid-19. Specifically, hospital workers on the night shift at Baylor Scott & White charitable hospital in Irving.
Caring Together for BSW Hospital Workers
Every Friday from May 8th - June 26th
Hackberry Creek Church and volunteers from our community will deliver
Fabric Masks for healthcare workers & patients personal use (1,000 total)
Candy (large sealed bags or boxes)
Starbucks Coffee Tab (tax deductible donation)
4 Friday night dinners for the night staff ($6,000 total-$10/meal-tax deductible donations)
Prayers on the Hands & Feet Facebook page from our hearts to theirs
Friday, May 15th is EXTRA special!
In honor of National Hospital Week, the HCC Church family is sponsoring an "Ice Cream Social" for the 750 employees of BSW Irving.
Each employee will receive ice cream (individually wrapped varieties) along with a handcrafted pinwheel. The cost is $1,500.
Our Tuesday night Women's Bible Study group is crafting the pinwheels for its FAITH IN ACTION project.
If you are interested in making pinwheels, contact Susan Ervin the "Pinwheel Captain"

- Write a check or make an online donation at HackberryCreekChurch.com. Make it payable to HCC and write on the memo: Hands & Feet Care All donations will go towards meeting our goals. For our Friday dinners we are partnering with Palio's and Maui Fresh Grill. The hospital staff is very grateful for these meals as the cafeteria is closed in the evening and there are limited restaurant choices open nearby.
- Pray every Friday for resilience for those working in unthinkable circumstances under tremendous stress, every day.

- Buy a large sealed bag of candy or large box of candy and deliver it to the church porch "Candy Cooler"
- Donate some fabric for the masks. Linda Mudd is our "Mask Captain"
- Pray every Friday for resilience and hope and post your prayers on the Hands & Feet FB page -Let a hurting world know you care!

- Participate in making a fabric mask- Our goal is 1,000 masks as fast as we can make'm and deliver them! Whether you can sew or cut or donate fabric - we can make this happen! Invite your friends to join in the effort! Linda Mudd is our "Mask Captain" Help with PIck UP and Drop OFF- If you have a car and have time slots on certain days at certain times, then contact Laura Banks our "Transportation Captain"
- Pray every Friday for resilience and hope and a cure. Pray for the healing of all who are affected by Covid-19
- Post your prayers and support for the frontline workers at BSW Irving on the Hands & Feet FB page
