Family: I was born and raised in Brampton, Ontario, Canada and attended St. Andrews Presbyterian Church.  I graduated from Ryerson University in 1993 and moved to Dallas in October 1999.  I met my wife Lisa in 2000 and we were married in June 2005.  We have two children Cameron (14) and Brenden (12).  Both of whom were baptized at HCC.  I enjoy golfing, running and bike riding.  I hope to participate in one or two sprint triathlon’s this year.  I have also helped coach both of my son’s recreational sports teams.

Experience at HCC: I first attended a service at HCC in late 2000 and immediately felt that it would make a good church home for me.  Lisa was also drawn to the church, and we have been attending together for about 17 years.  Lisa and I have participated in HCC small group dinners.  I have volunteered as an HCC Reading Buddy at Las Colinas Elementary.  I’ve enjoyed playing in most of the annual HCC men’s golf tournaments over the last 15 years.

Family: I was born in Louisiana and grew up in Irving.  I began dating  my husband Mark when we were in high school, and we just celebrated our 42nd wedding anniversary! Together we have one son, John.  I graduated from Texas A&M and taught high school science in Irving and Coppell.  Mark and I live on a farm in Argyle with horses, chickens, dogs and cats, and beautiful sunsets.

Experience at HCC: As long as I can remember I have always believed in and had a relationship with God. When I was 12, I publicly accepted Christ as my savior at a Billy Graham event at Texas Stadium.  I grew up Presbyterian and attended 1st Presbyterian Church in Irving.  There I taught SS, was a youth group leader, and served on the Session.  Around 1991, Mark and I, along with my parents, Paul and Mary Jo Mason, began attending HCC.  We moved to Coppell in 1994 and got more involved in HCC.  While at HCC, I  taught children's SS for many years,  participated in Women's Bible Study, helped with Vacation Bible School, attended Small Groups and many Women's Retreats.  I also served on Session. I consider HCC my home and it's members my family.

Family:
I was born in Amarillo, TX and grew up in East Dallas attending Bryan Adams HS. In 1970, I went to The University of Texas and graduated 3 years later with a Bachelors in Radio, TV and Film. Returning to Dallas, I went to work for then KDFW-TV in the news and sports departments, later working at WFAA-TV
as Sports Photographer. After several years at an independent production company doing work for the Dallas Cowboys, I went out on my own as a sole proprietor, contracting in all aspects of video production locally and across the country.

I met and married Patricia Royal in 1979 and in December celebrated our 43 rd anniversary. We moved to Coppell in 1999 and have one daughter, Samantha 36 and one grand-dog, Gehrig 8 who live in Westminster, CO. We enjoy visiting and spending time with them in Colorado and the mountains many times a year.  I am presently semi-retired and enjoy traveling with my wife, playing golf (habitual high handicapper), riding around the country on my motorcycle (yes, it is a Harley-Davidson), photography and watching football (long suffering UT and the Cowboys).

Experience at HCC: Our family joined the then Presbyterian Church at Hackberry Creek following the migration of folks from First Presbyterian Church in Irving, Texas in 1998. After HCC moved to its current location, I served for several years on the Property Team and then served two terms as a Deacon. I have been involved in Small Groups, a driver for Family Promise, volunteered and worked on the HCC Media Team and chaired the 2018 Security Team. After Dave Irvin retired, I took over as the HCC Media Team Coordinator. During the Covid-19 lockdown, I volunteered and eventually added Livestreaming Coordinator to my volunteering duties. I currently still coordinate the Media and Livestreaming activities for HCC. In June 2021, I was asked and accepted the part time paid role of Facilities Manager at HCC. It has been an active, busy and fulfilling time at Hackberry Creek Church.

Family:
I grew up in the Jewish faith in southern Connecticut. I met Maureen while we were both living in Atlanta, Georgia and married in 1983. Our first son, Matt, was born in January 1985. Maureen insisted we bring up Matt in church. I started reading the bible and came to Christ later in 1985 after reading the Sermon on the Mount. Matt and I were baptized at the same time! Our second son Phillip was born in 1988. Both Matt and Phil grew up at HCC and have grown to be great Christian men. Together with their wives (Megan and Melissa) they are raising our three grandchildren (Jonathan age 5, James age 4, and Evelyn age 2) in Christ-centered households. What a blessing! Along with Matt, Maureen (a retired nurse) and I continue to run our supply chain consulting practice. Maybe someday we will retire.

Experience at HCC: Maureen and I joined HCC in 1993, shortly after moving to Coppell from Atlanta, GA. We have been members of a small group for over 20 years, leading one for the past 10 years. I have served on session twice before, taught many adult Sunday School classes, been involved in men’s ministry, and participated in multiple overseas business-oriented mission trips.

Welcome home. We can't wait to see you!
