Learning and Growing Together Our goal at HCC is to make Adult Sunday School the place that everyone wants to be for an hour each Sunday morning. Every quarter we will offer a variety of courses designed to appeal to both new or longtime participants. We invite you to visit a class or two each session, then make a commitment to attend for the remaining weeks. It is our hope that we will all increase in knowledge, mature in faith and grow in fellowship.

Have you ever felt your life was turned inside out? Or upside-down? Well God is working in the middle of it! The Upside-Down Kingdom explores how the kingdom of God announced by Jesus appeared upside-down in first-century Palestine. Join us as we learn about the Upside-Down Kingdom discussing a different parable each week in this interactive class.
When it comes to anxiety, depression, and stress-related illnesses, America is the frontrunner. The presence of anxiety is unavoidable, but the prison of anxiety is optional. It's the life of perpetual anxiety that the Apostle Paul wanted to address. Don't let anything in life leave you perpetually in angst. Join us as we explore this theme in seven Biblically-based, insightful and practical sessions this spring.
A Worthy Example: Christians You Should Know We all need inspiration to lead lives that honor God. When our faith is weak or the pressures of the world seem overwhelming, remembering the great examples of men and women who have left their mark can inspire us to renewed strength and purpose. Join us for this 13-week summer series as we explore the lives of such people as St. Augustine, John Calvin, Leo Tolstoy and many others! June 3 - August 26 Patterson Hall Teachers - Dale Patterson, Donald Skidmore, Brad Carson, Ann Sparks, George Sparks
Newcomer's Class This class is open to anyone who has questions about HCC or Presbyterianism, in general. This is a great opportunity to get to know other newcomers to HCC. All new members are encouraged to attend. Instructor: Pastor Dale
GiftEd What if you possessed a gift your entire life, hidden from you, but perhaps obvious to others? Discover how God has gifted each of us with unique abilities, interests, experiences, gifts, and personality, perfectly calibrated for our particular circumstance, life journey, and relationships. GiftEd is a lively and interactive six-week course offered periodically throughout the year, a course to learn about our spiritual gifts and to be equipped to use those gifts in ministry. The class is offered at HCC during the adult education hour. Alan and Paula Messimer speak about how to discover the unique tools and spiritual gifts God has given us. One of the tools used can be found at http://archive.elca.org/evangelizingchurch/assessments/ Class size is limited, so sign up in the Narthex, contact the church office.
