Learning and Growing Together
Our goal at HCC is to make Adult Sunday School the place that everyone wants to be for an hour each Sunday morning. Every quarter we will offer a variety of courses designed to appeal to both new or longtime participants. We invite you to visit a class or two each session, then make a commitment to attend for the remaining weeks. It is our hope that we will all increase in knowledge, mature in faith and grow in fellowship.

Claiming the Promised Land: Numbers, Deuteronomy & Joshua

In Claiming the Promised Land we will explore the books of Numbers, Deuteronomy and Joshua, as the people of God continue their journey in the wilderness and a new generation finally crosses over into the land of God's promise. Join us as we learn from the victories and mistakes of the Israelites and their leaders, and as we find comfort and encouragement in God's covenant faithfulness to his chosen people.

Many of us ache for a relationship with God, but feel distant and disconnected from him. As if He is more of an idea, rather than someone we can relate to. Why do we feel this gap? What if God is different than anything we might expect, but better than we could ever imagine?
“God Has a Name” is an in-depth study of Exodus 34:6-8, where God fully reveals who He is to Moses. Many biblical scholars have referred to these verses as the most quoted section in the Bible, by the Bible. Who God is might just surprise you, and it might change everything.

In this course we follow Christ's foot steps from birth to death to give us a clearer understanding of His purpose for the world and for each of us as Individuals . We hope to learn to apply Christ's teaching using the Self study guide "Life of Christ "by Irving L.Jensen . It is 15 weeks course beginning by 3 February 2019 .

Periodic Classes
Newcomer's Class
This class is open to anyone who has questions about HCC or Presbyterianism, in general. The class is led by Pastor Dale Patterson and includes visits by ministry leaders so that you can learn more about the life and work of HCC and opportunities for involvement. This is a great opportunity to get to know other newcomers to HCC. All new members are encouraged to attend.

What if you possessed a gift your entire life, hidden from you, but perhaps obvious to others? Discover how God has gifted each of us with unique abilities, interests, experiences, gifts, and personality, perfectly calibrated for our particular circumstance, life journey, and relationships. GiftEd is a lively and interactive six-week course offered periodically throughout the year, a course to learn about our spiritual gifts and to be equipped to use those gifts in ministry. The class is offered at HCC during the adult education hour. Alan and Paula Messimer speak about how to discover the unique tools and spiritual gifts God has given us.
