Learning and Growing Together Our goal at HCC is to make Adult Sunday School the place that everyone wants to be for an hour each Sunday morning. Every quarter we will offer a variety of courses designed to appeal to both new or longtime participants. We invite you to visit a class or two each session, then make a commitment to attend for the remaining weeks. It is our hope that we will all increase in knowledge, mature in faith and grow in fellowship.

Have you ever felt your life was turned inside out? Or upside-down? Well God is working in the middle of it! The Upside-Down Kingdom explores how the kingdom of God announced by Jesus appeared upside-down in first-century Palestine. Join us as we learn about the Upside-Down Kingdom discussing a different parable each week in this interactive class.
When it comes to anxiety, depression, and stress-related illnesses, America is the frontrunner. The presence of anxiety is unavoidable, but the prison of anxiety is optional. It's the life of perpetual anxiety that the Apostle Paul wanted to address. Don't let anything in life leave you perpetually in angst. Join us as we explore this theme in seven Biblically-based, insightful and practical sessions this spring.

In the Beginning explores the foundations of the gospel story: Creation, Fall and Exile.
September 9 - October 14, Room 151 Facilitators: Ben Woodward, Brad Carson
Jesus Among Secular Gods As belief in the secular gods of atheism, hedonism, relativism, and humanism continues to grow, it’s more important than ever for believers to be able to defend and share the claims of Christ. Not only has the Christian worldview been devalued and dismissed by modern culture, but its believers are also openly ridiculed as irrelevant. This six-session Bible study challenges the popular and trending philosophies of the day, skillfully pointing out the fallacies in their claims and presenting compelling evidence for absolute truth as found in Jesus and revealed in Scripture.
September 9 - October 14, Room 133 Facilitator: Richard Parr
Life Together Groups Aging Parents in Your Life? Room 149, Begins September 9, 2018 @ 10:30 During this 6 week session... You are invited to be a part of the discussion on what it means to travel in Christ with our loved ones and ourselves in the waters of mortality.Together we will consider what questions we need to ask and how we might reference the Faith of Jesus Christ in the midst of it all.
Aug 12- On Being Mortal Aug 19- Prolongation of Life Aug 26- Hospice vs Euthanasia
In the sermons, Rev. Dr. Dale W. Patterson Senior Pastor at Hackberry Creek Church, presented questions to a panel of UTSW practitioners, who are confronted with folks that face the challenges of aging parents and end of life care on a daily basis. The prolongation of life and the entire medical and care industry focuses on keeping people alive. What other questions and values do we need to consider rather than simply staying alive? Because there is a great misunderstanding about hospice we will consider how it brings a very different and underutilized expertise. Too often we act only in crisis and we hurt the ones we seek to love and care for. Further, how is hospice not to be confused with euthanasia?
Nursery care, Children's Sunday School & Youth Sunday School available- so bring the fam!
