Meet the New Class of Deacons
Greg Lindstrom:
I became a Christian a little after 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2003, in response to God’s effectual calling and encouraged by the prayers and witness of my wife, Sandra, our son, Kiel Eulberg, and our daughter, Ava, as well as many current and former members of Hackberry Creek Church. My faith has grown largely due to HCC’s weekly worship services and adult Sunday school classes as well as through the Small Group ministry, Men’s Retreats and Friday Morning Prayer Breakfasts, and even Dinners for Eight. Sandra and I worshipped for a few years at another church and missed these fulfilling attributes of HCC and thus eagerly rejoined in 2019.
I am honored to have been nominated to serve HCC as a deacon and prayerfully considered before obediently agreeing to have my nomination put forth, heeding not only the qualifications for deacons described in Scripture such as in 1 Timothy 3:8-13 but also the stated expectations of the nominating committee and the humbling examples of the deacons currently serving. If elected this would be my first office held. Sandra and I are retired and live in Coppell. Our son works in film and television in Los Angeles and our daughter is an environmental scientists; she and her husband, Ian Playle, work, live, and worship in Forth Worth.
Pat Patterson:
I have been married to Dale for 47 years. We met at Purdue University where I received my degree in Education. We have three children & five grandchildren. I am a Charter Member of HCC. I have served as a Deacon and have been involved in the College Care ministry, Adult Sunday School, monthly HCC Prayer, and Women’s Bible Study where I co-taught.
Kathy Eacret:
Kathy has been very involved with Family Promise, including to help get it started and organizing the committees that make that ministry happen. She has helped whatever was needed for Family Promise. In addition, Kathy helps setup Communion throughout the year attends both the morning and evening Bible Studies. I help with meals and donations of supplies for various ministries. She has also served all the past churches where I have been a member.
