Director of Children’s MinistriesHackberry Creek Church, Irving TexasHackberry Creek Church is seeking a committed Christian with an understanding of how children learn and a working knowledge of innovative, creative teaching methods and curriculum for both children and adults to serve as a Director of Children’s Ministries and Christian Education. The person called to this position should have a growing faith and a passion to help children grow in their faith. We are looking for an applicant with an appropriate education background or prior experience in this type of position to fill a newly created position with the opportunity to develop and grow with the congregation. A minimum of two years in a similar position is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities include selection and development of Sunday School curriculum and training and support of teachers for both children and adult classes. Duties also include coordination and development of children’s worship and other children and Christian Education programs. This position is a full-time position. Compensation is to be determined by the Session based on experience and educational background. Average compensation for this type of position is expected to be between $30,000 - $39,000 cash salary depending on qualifications.
Hackberry Creek Church is located in the Las Colinas/Hackberry Creek area of North Irving. Its current membership of 450 is drawn primarily from the Irving, Coppell and Valley Ranch areas.
